The key ingredient in building a body that’s stronger, fitter, supple and more injury resilient is Progressive Overload…ie slowly exposing your body to ever increasing demands so it adapts and becomes more robust and able to withstand the demands placed upon it.

Most people rush this process or attempt exercises that their joints, tendons, muscles and nervous system are not prepared for. This ultimately leads to instability, lack of control, pain, and injury!

The ESSENCE FITNESS Function-Health-Fitness-Performance Model addresses all the above issues. We have spent the last 3 decades accumulating information and testing to get the formula just right and we want to share the benefits with you….our very valued members.

How does it work?

In consultation with one of our team members, pick the right program for you…..

1. Function

  • Address motor control and mobility dysfunction
  • Let one of our Exercise Physiologists screen you for any pre-existing injury or chronic condition
  • Full Medicare rebates (avail when referred by your GP) for up to 5 individual one-on-one sessions to address any dysfunction you may have before starting out on a strength & conditioning program

2. Health

  • Find out your Health Profile by conducting an Essence Health Audit
  • One of our friendly exercise professionals will conduct a top-to-toe assessment and give you real time feedback on all your metabolic variables incl
    – Body fat and lean muscle mass
    – Metabolic disease risk level
    – Metabolic age
    – Etc (add to this list – use of body comp scales and other measures)

3. Fitness

  • Essence Foundation Programs
  • Beginner & Intermediate Levels 1-3
  • Progressive exercises from novice thru to more complex & demanding
  • Strengthen & bulletproof joints, tendons and muscles to prevent injury
  • 24 sessions each program stage which leads to the next appropriate level
  • Includes 3 Coaching Sessions to teach the exercises and progressions *Note- for individuals with unique requirements or requiring a flexibility program please allow for 5 coaching sessions

4. Performance

  • Goal orientated programs encompassing higher performance orientated movements including any and all sports and lifestyle activities
  • Advanced Foundations Phase 1-3 followed by Progressions Program (coming soon!)

Essence Foundation Programs – Summary

Beginner

  • Cardio, Strength & Flexibility *
  • Circuit pin loaded equipment full body routine
  • 24 sessions, 4 phases, 6 sessions each phase
  • 3 Coaching sessions
  • Follow this program 1-3 cycles with 5-15% improvement each cycle

Intermediate Level 1

  • Cardio, Strength & Flexibility *
  • Combination or bodyweight, free and pin loaded equipment full body routine
  • 24 sessions, 4 phases, 6 sessions each phase
  • 3 Coaching sessions
  • Follow this program 1-3 cycles with 5-15% improvement each cycle

Intermediate Level 2

  • Cardio, Strength & Flexibility *
  • Combination or bodyweight, free and pin loaded equipment full body routine
  • 24 sessions, 4 phases, 6 sessions each phase
  • 3 Coaching sessions
